Stephanie has done three projects for me: whole house window treatments, living room slipcovers and pillows (living room and bedroom). I am completely satisfied with each project. She was creative and resourceful in offering suggestions about fabric, patterns and color, and left me with samples to ponder when I couldn’t make an on-the-spot decision. When I was not pleased with the way a chair cover fit, Stephanie had it taken back and re-done to my satisfaction. She is accurate about delivery schedules and all of my items were delivered and installed on the promised dates. My budget constraints were always met, and she never tried to “up sell” me. I am happy recommend Stephanie, and plan to use her again myself.

Stephanie is an excellent decorator. After our initial conversation about style and color of the room, the samples she brought to choose from were obviously well-researched and spot on. It was clear she spent much time and thought on every aspect of the project. This project was a re-designed living room that included carpentry work done by a sub-contractor she recommended and also supervised. All in all it was a pleasant experience and absolutely has the look of a professionally designed room that is comfortable and inviting.

I hired Stephanie Scanlon of Decorating Den Interiors to assist with the remodeling of our kitchen. Stephanie is amazing. I described what we wanted in cabinetry, tile, countertops and flooring, she identified the type of materials that would fit our needs and budget and then she narrowed down the finishes, color, and/or patterns that would complement each other and work in the space allotted. We gave her demands, and there were many. She gave us her expertise. She cut through the labyrinth of decisions providing us her supplier, contractors, and then staying on them to make sure everything came together. What really brought it all together was her attention to details we hadn’t thought of, the window dressing, tile accents and more. She has an eye for seeing it all fit together while it is still in the imagination stage. She alerted us when there were obstacles and gave us alternatives and recommendations. She took the guesswork out of a major renovation and gave us the kitchen of our dreams. We are so very grateful and cannot thank her enough.

I was looking for matching custom blinds for a kitchen window and door that were more unique than what I was finding at commercial retail stores, and I had met Stephanie a few months earlier. Her approachable, casual (non-pushy) demeanor appealed to me immediately, and yet she is very professional. Her knowledge and expertise were readily apparent, and my project went smoothly from start to finish. I was very happy with the final outcome and with Stephanie/Decorating Den!

I hired Stephanie Scanlon from Decorating Den to help me design my renovated bathroom. I asked her to help me find flooring, a sink, the fixtures, lighting, a window treatment and paint.   I didn’t want it to look like I had gone to a big box store. I also wanted the room to fit the style of my home, which was built in 1949 and still has a lot of the charm from that time. She consulted with me and she really listened and came up with ideas and products that fit perfectly. After I approved everything she ordered everything so it would be here on time and met with my contractor so she would know when he needed everything at my home. She did a fabulous job! She helped me to get out of my comfort zone and choose items I probably wouldn’t have if I were doing it on my own.
The bathroom looks great and I am so happy with the service she provided. I will definitely call Stephanie again when I have another design project to do.

I wanted to decorate my guest room, so I called Stephanie Scanlon of Decorating Den Interiors. Stephanie did a great job of helping me to realize my vision of an Art Deco look to the guest room. She handled all the details, all the deliveries and all the placing of furniture. The room looks great! She did a great job. The only reason I say I wouldn’t use her in the future is because I have now retired and my funds are limited. But if circumstances were different, I’d hire her again without any qualms.

Decorating Den was just what we needed! After 20 years, nearly every room in our house needed attention. Stephanie came over and after a few short weeks all of the problems we’ve had lingering for years have been solved! We now have new paint colors, window treatments, reupholstery, window blinds and a completely “made-over” Master Bathroom. We even picked out all of the necessary accessories together! Our home is finally “finished’!

This was the easiest & most fun home improvement experience that we’ve ever had and we are completely satisfied!

Stephanie did a great job of remodeling my condo.  I got it painted, got new wall–to-wall carpeting, new kitchen vinyl flooring, and had my furniture reupholstered and the marble top on my three-drawer chest repaired.  I also ordered a night table for my bedroom.  I pretty much knew what I wanted and she came through with a beautiful selection of flooring and fabric.  Everything was done in a timely manner and went smoothly.  Stephanie was professional and remained in charge throughout.  She did all the legwork and research and scheduled everything appropriately.  She was a delight to work with and I am considering having her do a kitchen remodeling in the future.
