French Country Basement TV Room Refresh

Project Overview:

This client wanted to refresh the TV room in the basement of her home.  It had become a catch all for everything she needed to store, so she was not getting the full use of the room.  She wanted to host friends for movie nights and football games.  She loved the French Country style of the room, and wanted to keep the theme, but give it a refresh and declutter.  We started by calming down the harsh yellow paint color, and added an accent wall with a small floral print wallpaper. We replaced the furniture slip-covers, which were stained and worn, but kept the red that she loved.  The carpet was replaced with waterproof LVP.  Adding a leopard print area rug and pillows conveyed her love of cats. We added some dimmable can lights under the bulkhead, along with a crystal flush mount chandelier, to give the room some bling.  We changed out the entertainment center for a TV console and mounted the new 73″ TV on the wall.  A few additional new accessories were the final touches for the room refresh.
