Project Overview:

Client purchased a new home and the kitchen was in desperate need of an update.  The cabinets had been painted white by the previous owner and were falling apart. The space needed to be optimized for the new owners use.

In order to maximize the flow of this room, a portion of one wall was opened to the foyer. New white shaker cabinets were used, and under cabinet lighting was added to provide task lighting when cooking. A pantry and utility cabinet was also added, and a coffee bar was designed. A new island in a contrasting color was designed to house a microwave drawer and seating can be added on the back side, and clear glass pendants where hung above the island. New stainless steel appliance were added. Open shelving was requested by homeowner and coordinated with the wood look ceramic tile on the kitchen floor. New quartz counter tops were installed with contrasting colors between the base cabinetry(grey) and island (white). Light grey ceramic tile was used for the back splash, and a white medallion was designed to add a focal point between the range and vent hood. Bench seating was added under a bay window to enjoy morning coffee while watching the wildlife play in the yard.
